Just like our conversion tool, it is simple to use and can all be done online in an instant. We are able to compress all different types of files - Images, Documents, Videos and Audio files - and allow users to make those files smaller whilst still retaining their overall quality. This is why we have built the Zamzar compression tool. However, most of the time we want to be able to send files quickly and to also be able to consume them easily. How long did you let the archive step continue for? Does anyone have any suggestions we could try? Supposedly the ideal file size is around ~2GB. Our latest attempt is to erase and prior, also with no success. We initially tried erasing from and prior, with no success. Is there any way to go straight into the Archiving step? We've also attempted to change the dates for erasing transactions. All that happens is we successfully create a new backup copy. It backs up the data just fine but as soon as the archiving step begins, it freezes and throws out the 'Not Responding' window. Unfortunately, any attempts to use the Clean Up Company Data tool results in our server freezing. Successful, new file is only 100MB smaller We've looked at various solutions for speeding it up online and have tried the following, with mixed results: Attempt We were able to have our first successful back up yesterday which finally shrunk our tlg file from 600MB to 1MB. Clear the Compress and Encrypt checkboxes. Right-click the company file and select Properties. Quickbooks has become really slow for our 15 users since the beginning of this year so I was tasked to 'fix it'. First, ensure that the file is not compressed or encrypted and that you are opening a company file (.QBW), as other file types, such as backups (QBB) and portable files (QBM), cannot be opened in the same way. I'm posting here because I have run out of options trying to condense our company file from a 3GB file size.
